Next Prospects to Get the Call in the NL East
Most of the big name prospects are up for the clubs in the NL East: Danny Espinosa, Dillon Gee, Mike Minor, Brandon Beachey, Dominic Brown, etc. But some impact players are still biding their time in the minors. For the Nats the big guns are a year or two away (Stras, Harper). But one player who isn't really a prospect but could help this season is Oliver Perez. His fastball is back in the low 90's, he is comanding his slider once again and he only has 3 walks in 21.1 innings. Before you criticize check out my write up:

Don't drink that Kool-aid
… as many Mets and both Pirates fans would tell you. Ollie had one good season, and one half-way decent season. Other than that, the only thing he has going for himself is he throws left-handed off a pitching mound.
Brain: "Pinky, are you pondering what i'm pondering?"
Pinky: "Yes, but isn't a cucumber that small called a gherkin?"
That would be a disaster
For the Nats to be so desperate as to bring up Ollie this year in advance of the trade deadline…? That would mean a couple or more of the real pitchers at the ML level would have to suffer injuries, a notion of which I strongly disapprove.

Heck, let other teams scout the Nats’ system and maybe one of them would actually want Ollie as a throw-in on a trade.
Didn't Ollie just go on the DL?

yeah........"Oliver Perez is on the disabled list with Double-A Harrisburg due to a lat injury."

Didn't they give Chico a "rehab" start in the majors last year?
Before they shipped him back to the minors for his day job.
They called him up as an injury replacement
This was such a great game
