SI.com's Tom Verducci Has Washington Nationals' 2B Danny Espinosa As First-Half NL ROY.
"[Danny] Espinosa strikes out too often and doesn't get on base often enough, but his 15 homers and .800 OPS out of the second base position are impressive."

No chance he gets it of course, but does deserve some kudos all the same
Without what he’s done for the Nats in place of LaRoche, hard to imagine they’d be even close to sniffing .500

Never know
If he has a big second half he could be the MVP, sure I think he’ll have to be significantly better, but I don’t think there’s no chance.
Hope youre right
Cause that would mean he’d be Bautista-esque

I think he probably just has to maintain where he's at now...he's overcome a pretty dismal April.
Of course that’s a lot easier said than done.
What about his plus defense, you hack!

Yeah really... Nice backhanded compliment, batman
So he’s not perfect?

I thought it was just a hitting contest...
Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."

David Wright endorses this comment.

Neyer picks Danny as the best non-pitcher...and the ave. is .243, .800OPS, and 48 RBIs..
1. Danny Espinosa (Nationals 2B, 772)
No, that .217 batting average isn’t pretty. But Espinosa does lead all rookies with 33 RBI, and 10 home runs for a fine-fielding second baseman is more than impressive.
So there they are, folks: Your 2011 class of rookie hitters, none of whom figure to excite the Rookie of the Year voters in four months. Keep an eye on Espinosa’s batting average, though.

He’s paid to give an opinion, and he was wrong. You can’t still be holding a grudge against him for a section of an article written 26 months ago, can you?
