So, now that one person has come out and said that Davey is the best person for the manager in 2012

we can ignore the workings of the normal selection process like the Marlins did, right?

So Norris stays at AA and Solano and Maldonado remain p/t minor league players?

Freitas and some of the other catchers are pushing for playing time, too. Given that this organization is SO deep in catchers, it’s hard to see how Pudge fits in. The only catchers that really have trade value are probably Ramos and Norris, and it’s hard to see trading either.

by d_c_guy on Sep 28, 2011 5:29 PM EDT up reply actions

I predicted Norris at AA

but if they want Norris, and Leon to get majority playing time, I could see Norris at AAA. Solano is good, Norris is good, Leon is good, Freitas is good, and Nieto is good. Yay catching depth

SSS so far

Personally I think he starts in Syracuse next year. Since he only plays one position, it’s hard to keep him as a backup/bench bat

Bix played TOO much and Lombo hasn't gotten much PT since the callup...

back to Syracuse for all of them…though I wouldn’t mind if Bix were simply ushered out of the system.

As opposed to Matt Stairs, who played... no positions?

Although he did have a flair for lounging on the dugout steps. Does that count?

No, not small sample size

It’s easy to see what he offers, regardless of the outcomes of his plate appearances. He’s got a slow bat and not a lot of power.

I think it's been answered in group mode

catcher’s interference (not counted as a hit)
hit
error
hit by pitch
walk
dropped third strike
fielder’s choice
