THe argument for Danny Espinosa staying in the lineup over Lombardozzi is that he has more power. Right? Does Espinosa have more power then A Rod? No. It's not even close at this point. Lombardozzi is the superior player. In the 8th inning tonight we all knew Espinosa was an automatic out. And he was. But then Suzuki bailed him out. Lombardozzi has to be chomping at the bit to get out there and play. I wish Davey would just put the best players out there. Espinosa can't be allowed to hit out of yet another long slump during the playoffs. Baseball is a team game, and sometimes a team decision is needed. Lombardozzi has just as many hits as Espinosa this post season, but with only 3 at bats. And the two outs that Lombardozzi made were line drive. It's really frustrating as a Nats fan to see Espinosa in this awful slump and know that there is a superior player then him on the bench. It makes no sense to me. If A Rod can be benched then so can Danny Espinosa, arguably the worst hitter in the National League.
