Several media sources are now reporting that the Washington Nationals are announcing this afternoon their plans to call 19-year-old 2010 no.1 overall pick Bryce Harper up to the majors to make his MLB debut. The announcement comes with the news the Ryan Zimmerman has been placed on the 15-Day DL with the shoulder issues that have kept him out of action recently. D.C. GM Mike Rizzo is about to start a conference call to officially announce the news which was first reported (as far as I can tell) by NatsInsider.com's Mark Zuckerman:
#Nats announce Ryan Zimmerman will be placed on 15-day DL tomorrow and Bryce Harper will be called up to make his #MLB debut.
