The SB Nation is launching a new fantasy baseball game today and that there is the logo for said game. The article here is all about the game as well. I will now go pick my 6 and dominate.
The SB Nation is launching a new game today. Pick 6 is a daily pick'em game that pits you against other members of the Federal Baseball community and the entire SB Nation network. If you didn't join any of the fantasy leagues that were set up earlier this Spring, then this is a daily opportunity to prove that your no-doubt encyclopedic knowledge of the major leagues is superior to everyone else's encyclopedic knowlege of all things baseball. We're all geenyuses, see.
And it's a daily game. Each day, users can choose six players to fill out their daily roster: a catcher, corner infielder, middle infielder, outfielder, starting pitcher, and relief pitcher.
The rub? Each user gets just $120 of imaginary money to spend per day, and each player has a different cost which is determined by their production and their popularity in Pick 6. In order to win you'll have to strike a balance between expensive players and the type of under-the-radar talent only Mike Rizzo and the Nats' front office can find. Embrace your inner scout and take your lineup to the next level. Since this is a daily game there is no draft, no lengthy sign-up process - it's just you competing against fellow FBb and SBN members for bragging rights. And bragging rights include a spot atop the daily leaderboard that will greet you every time you visit Federal Baseball and attest to the superiority of your baseball knowledge.
It only takes a couple minutes to Pick your 6 - it's so easy to play! Go to the top left side of this blog and click on "Play Now" on the Pick 6 widget [and click on Federal Baseball where you're offered an opportunity to compete with other members of this particular site as well as competing SBN-wide]. Come back during and after games to see how you and your
friends competition did.
For more information on how to play and how scores are calculated, please go to the Rules page.
