With all the injury issues and players out of the lineup early this year for the Washington Nationals, 32-year-old first baseman Adam LaRoche, who missed most of the 2011 season with a labrum tear that eventually required surgery, has been one of the few consistent offensive producers on the roster this season, posting a .311/.392/.511 line with six doubles and four home runs in the first 24 games and 102 plate appearances of the 2012 campaign. LaRoche was a late scratch from tonight's lineup, however, with what reporters are describing as "oblique soreness." The seriousness of the issue is unknown at this point, but for a team that's already missing Michael Morse and Ryan Zimmerman, even the possibility of another player being injured is a cause for concern. The Nationals have inserted Chad Tracy in the lineup playing first and batting fifth, with Jayson Werth taking over in the cleanup spot behind Bryce Harper, who's hitting third for the first time tonight after hitting seventh in his first four major league games. Here's the revised lineup via @Nationals on Twitter:

• More information on the severity of the issue with LaRoche's oblique when it is available.
