Washington Nationals' lefty Gio Gonzalez held the Tampa Bay Rays to two runs on seven hits while recording a season-low four strikeouts in last Thursday's 5-2 win over the AL East team. The 26-year-old left-hander improved to (9-3) on the year in his first season in the National League, and he now has a 2.55 ERA, 2.06 FIP, 34 walks (3.61 BB/9) and 101 K's (10.74 K/9) in 84.2 IP so far this season. The former Oakland A's starter has never pitched in Coors Field or faced the Colorado Rockies franchise before tonight, but he's (5-1) in seven road starts this year with a 2.70 ERA, 2.18 FIP, 1.15 WHIP, 22 walks (4.95 BB/9) and 52 K's (11.70 K/9) in 40.0 IP away from the nation's capital this season.
