With one third of the season in the books, the Nationals No. 1-3 starters (Stephen Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, and Jordan Zimmermann) have now accumulated 11 starts each. To get an idea of how good they've been, I've combined their stats to create a full season's worth of a composite pitcher. Let's call him Gio Strasman:
| GS | IP | W | L | K | BB | H | HR | ER | ERA | WHIP | K/9 | BB/9 | K/BB | HR/9 | |
| Gio Strasmann | 33 | 201.2 | 16 | 8 | 212 | 56 | 155 | 14 | 56 | 2.50 | 1.05 | 9.46 | 2.50 | 3.79 | 0.62 |
Those wouldn't be bad numbers for a number one starter and that's what we're getting out of our top three combined.
