• Two quick quotes from Davey Johnson's pregame meeting before the second game of three for the New York Mets in D.C.:

• Solano's Oblique Issue: The Nats' skipper told reporters this afternoon that catcher Jhonatan Solano was another victim of the oblique injury plague that's already struck Mark DeRosa and Ian Desmond this season. "Solano's got the same thing that's Desi's got and DeRosa had," Johnson explained, "He's got an oblique strain, and we'll probably be doing something with him, after the game." Sandy Leon was mentioned as a likely candidate to replace Solano on the major league roster. Asked directly if Leon would get the call, the manager said, "Probably. He would be one of them."

• Storen Rehab: 24-year-old Washington Nationals' reliever Drew Storen made his sixth rehab appearance with Class-A Potomac last night, throwing a scoreless inning in relief in which he struck out two of the three batters he faced. During this afternoon's pre-game press conference, Davey Johnson said the right-hander will likely be back in the nation's capital soon. "He was going to throw today out there on the field, throw long and he'll probably be activated soon," Johnson explained, "maybe as early as tomorrow." In 6.2 IP between Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg, Storen's allowed seven hits, seven runs, six earned and two walks while recording eight K's. Further word on Storen, Johnson said, would be forthcoming, "Tomorrow, after the game."
