Whereas the current slogan of Federal Baseball is: "An unofficial Washington Nationals support group."

Whereas this slogan, in view of the above, was appropriate in 2008-09 (and earlier), when the team went 118-205

Whereas this slogan was still appropriate in 2010-11, when contention was still just a dream, an hoped-for future

Whereas in the 2012 season the Nationals have proven themselves a contender, with the best NL record as of this writing, and indeed, the best record in all of MLB

Whereas young and proven talent throughout the organization indicate that this success is sustainable for the foreseeable future

Resolved, that Federal Baseball is no longer correctly characterized as a support group

Resolved, that Federal Baseball change its slogan

Resolved, that other members of the community, should they approve this resolution, suggest alternative slogans to be voted on at a later time.
