Stephen Strasburg's allowed just one run in 12.0 IP so far in August in back-to-back wins over the Miami Marlins and Arizona D-Backs. The Nats' right-hander's one career start against San Francisco before today came back on July 9, 2010 in Nationals Park. The then-21-year-old Strasburg held the Giants to one run on three hits in six innings pitched, walking one and striking out eight. That time out he matched up against Matt Cain. This afternoon in AT&T Park it's Tim Lincecum throwing for the Giants in the rubber match of the three-game series between the NL East and West's first place teams. The Giants' 28-year-old right-hander is coming off a seven-inning outing against the Colorado Rockies in which he gave up six hits and three runs in a 3-0 loss. The Giants are currently tied with the LA Dodgers. The Nats hold a 4.5 game lead over the Atlanta Braves. The Nats are 7-2 on the current 10-game road trip and after last night's loss the team is 40-23 on the road, which, as the Giants' announcers mentioned, gives them a better record on the road than any major league team has at home this season. Word? Here's the lineup the Nationals will field behind Strasburg in the '09 no.1 overall pick's 24th start of 2012:

• Note: Melky Cabrera will not be in the Giants' lineup...
