Anyone who has followed the Nationals since their inception knows how devastating it was to see Strasburg fall victim to that possibly debilitating injury. I thought our chances at success in the short and long-term were cooked. I remember running around work telling everyone that Stras blew out his arm. Everyone was crushed. THAT is why real fans of the team realize that can not (even though it may) happen ever again. He is our ideal ACE for the next 5-8 years hopefully. Real fans understand the gravity of the situation. We lost him once already while the national media and bandwagoneers never have before. Now they are finally paying attention to the team and it's all new to them. Welcome to 2009 world. I know that I'm echoing an opinion that a lot of you share, but I feel words of sanity in the muck of talking head nonsense is as necessary as his eventual shut down. Best team in baseball for the next 5 years....YOUR Washington Nationals!
