According to MLB Trade Rumors, the Los Angeles Dodgers are going to sign left-handed reliever J.P. Howell. This, I believe, ends the free-agent market for lefty relievers and pretty much guarantees that our Nationals are going to enter the season with Zach Duke and maybe Bill Bray (depending on his health).
I'm not sure I'm pleased with this, but if I had to pick ONE problem to have, this is my second choice (I'd prefer a drought of righty 6th and 7th inning guys, but this will do). But I'd like to hear the thoughts of the rest of Federal Baseball on this subject before I make up my mind how much of a problem this is.
