Quick Post While I'm in a Daze Wondering What Ellsbury Means for Cano

Jacoby Ellsbury signed a 7-year deal with the Yankees, which might mean Robinson Cano's days in the Bronx are numbered.

Here's a random plan:

1. Sign Cano

2. Trade LaRoche, for org. depth if you need to

3. Zim to 1st, Rendon to 3rd, Espinosa to super-sub (2B/SS), Zim can fill at third, and...

4. When Morse realizes nobody really wants him, bring him back cheap as the bench guy and backup 1B and hope he rebounds. It's a luxury they just might be able to afford.

Sure it's crazy. But given this rotation after the Fister trade, with all four of the top starters under team control for exactly two years, even if the prospect of Cano languishing with a huge salary in 2020 is unappetizing, these next two years could be special.

I'm out, and I'm not drunk, I swear...
