- Been better: Stephen Strasburg (-34.4%) only makes it through 5.1 IP, giving up 6 ER along with 5 Ks, 4 walks, and 9 hits--5 of which were IF hits, with only 1 XBH on the day! Who called down the BABIP jinx?
- Clutch (if that existed): Kurt Suzuki (+26.1%) rises to the competition, going 3-4 with a pair of doubles and a 3-run dinger to tie the game in the second (+23.2%).
- Wheat-eater: Jayson Werth (-12.5%) is 1-4, but GDPs to snuff a potential first-inning rally (-7.3%) and Ks with runners corners to end the 4th (-6.0%).
- Bright sides: Denard Span (+4.1%) is becoming my favorite Nats hitters, going 1-2 with another 2 walks. Danny Espinosa (+4.3%) is 1-3 with a walk and a ballboy-interference ground-rule double that probably should have been a riple. Henry Rodriguez (+0.5%) throws a clean inning in relief.
