Nationals' Tuesday Night Lineup; + Some Tyler Moore Numbers...

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Nationals don't have 20-year-old slugger Bryce Harper back in the lineup yet, but they have a hot Tyler Moore swinging away tonight in Citi Field after he hit a 429ft home run last night in the Nats' 9-0 win over the New York Mets.

Still no Bryce Harper, who is recovering from inflammation in his left hip, so Tyler Moore is in left field again tonight for the Washington Nationals in the second game of four in Citi Field in New York. Since Moore, 26, returned from Triple-A Syracuse on August 17th, the Brandon, Mississippi-born right-handed hitting and throwing outfielder/first baseman, who was 2 for 3 with a double and a home run last night in the Nats' 9-0 win over the Mets, has a .391/.404/.500 line with two doubles, a home run, one walk and 15 Ks in 15 games and 48 plate appearances.

On the year, Moore, who posted a .263/.327/.513 line with nine doubles and 10 HRs in 75 games and 171 PAs in 2012, over which he was worth +0.6 fWAR, now has a .224/.256/.349 line, seven doubles and four home runs in 57 games and 161 plate appearances after which he's at -1.0 fWAR. After struggling in the bench role he excelled in during the Nationals' run to the NL East Division crown last season, Moore had a .151/.195/.283 line with five of his doubles and three home runs in 42 games and 113 PAs in the first half of the 2013 campaign.

In 45 games and 200 PAs at Triple-A Syracuse this season, the '08 16th Round pick who was drafted twice by the Nationals before finally signing, had a .318/.395/.584 line with 14 doubles and 10 HRs for the Nationals' top affiliate and that seems to have carried over to the majors since he returned to the big leagues. After last night's game, Moore's 3 for 10 with two doubles and a home run in seven games in Citi Field in his career. Moore's HR last night, reportedly traveled 429ft to center field...
