Wire Taps: Battle of the Beltways shifts to OPACY; Nationals and Orioles back at it

Joy R. Absalon-US PRESSWIRE

The Interleague series between the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles shifts venues after last night's postponement. Tonight the Nats and O's go at it in Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Will NatsTown travel north?

The Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles were rained out on Tuesday night, but there will be no two-city, two-game doubleheader today as some fans hoped.

"Our owner was kind enough to let them have a team here..." -QOTD: Buck Showalter on Peter Angelos' benevolence

Last night's game will be made up on August 4th on what was a mutual off day.

The Nats and O's will be back at it tonight though, in Oriole Park at Camden Yards, where the Interleague matchup continues. Nationals' skipper Matt Williams announced last night that he would push all the starters back a day and throw Doug Fister tonight since he missed his scheduled turn in the rotation Tuesday.

Williams was up early this morning to talk to MLB Network Radio hosts Jim Memolo and Todd Hollandsworth about the 48-40 Nationals. Here are some of the highlights via @MLBNetworkRadio:

• On the Nationals' Final Vote candidate Anthony Rendon:

• On who he'll use as the DH in the AL side of their Interleague matchup with the Orioles:

• On Nats' All-Star Jordan Zimmermann's schedule:

Zimmermann, of course, opted out of pitching in the 2013 All-Star Game after he was named to the NL roster for the first time in his career. Will the right-hander pitch in Minnesota? We'll have to wait and see, but you don't have to wait any longer for today's links, which start... RIGHT NOW!!!:
