Listen to a new fight song for the Nationals

+

Let's go, Nats. Seriously, Nats, let's go.

Nationals' Bryce Harper reading Mother's Day letter to his mom...

We're not responsible for the emotional response you're about to have when you watch Bryce Harper read a Mother's Day letter to his mother and explain the hand gesture he sends to her after each home run he hits...

Check out Bryce Harper's spectacular catch against the Yankees on Monday

There's been a lot of talk as of late about Bryce Harper's bat (mainly: will it be better this year than it was last year?). However, we shouldn't (as Harper would say) sell the young outfielder short -- he's still very much a defensive star, which we can see in this diving/sliding/tumbling catch he made against the Yankees on Monday.

Watch the pitcher's mound being installed at the Nats' new Spring Training stadium

+

Spring is coming, and the Nationals and Astros are racing to finish their brand new Spring Training stadium in West Palm Beach. The stadium took another major step towards completion last Friday when construction workers installed the pitcher's mound in the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. (The park will open on February 28th with the Nationals facing the Astros.)

Watch Anthony Rendon grand slam!

It's too early to say if this is enough offense to beat the Braves, but it sure is a nice bundle of offense from Rendon as he hits his 17th HR of 2016.

Scherzer shows off with no-look between the legs defense

+

Mad Max does it all.

This was Scherzer's most dominant start of 2016 with a game score of 93. Last year he did better than that three times in that trio of complete games in which he allowed only one hit.

Yesterday he allowed just two hits and walked nobody in eight innings while striking out 10.

When the man is on fire, he is on fire!

Ben Revere steals HR from Freddie Freeman!

Way to take one for the team, Ben!

Ben Revere's crazy over the shoulder catch

+

Ben Revere isn't famous for his defensive skill in center field but it seems he has some tricks up his sleeve that us Nats fans didn't know about.

This amazing play saved two runs, which turned out to be huge in a game that the Nationals ended up winning 1-0.

Revere may be fighting for playing time with Trea Turner and now Brian Goodwin, but it is good to see that he is still finding ways to contribute when he's out roaming in center field.

These lucky D.C. Little Leaguers got to hang out with the Nationals

+

It's not every day that we get a glimpse at the system called the D.C. Little League that is churning out dozens of young children to fuel the next Nationals youth movement in the 2020s.

It appears that Dusty Baker and a number of Nationals players went out to inspire these children and reveal to them the deep secrets of the hard work ethic that makes every baseball player great.

We have every confidence that the program is a positive influence for these children. Also, they look snazzy in those uniforms.
