The Washington Nationals were swept in their three-game set this weekend in Turner Field. The Atlanta Braves got out to a 10-2 lead early this afternoon and never looked back as they beat the Nats for the fifth time in six games so far this season.

Braves 6-3 over Nationals for second straight win

The Braves jumped on Taylor Jordan early in tonight's start and held on to the lead even though the Washington Nationals kept battling back. In the end it was another with for the defending NL East champs who beat the Nats 6-3 in Turner Field.

Nationals Lose 2-1 To Braves In Front Of 42,834

Jordan Zimmermann took the mound in front of 42,834 fans in the Washington Nationals' home opener and threw six innings in which he gave up just one run, but the Atlanta Braves scored a run on Tyler Clippard in the eighth and held on for a 2-1 win.

Jordan Zimmermann took the mound this afternoon in Busch Stadium in St. Louis looking for his 20th win of the 2013 season, but the Cardinals once again held the Washington Nationals down and swept the season series (6-0 vs D.C.) with a 4-1 win.

St. Louis Cardinals' 22-year-old right-hander Michael Wacha threw a no-hitter against the Washington Nationals through 8 2/3 tonight in Busch Stadium, before Ryan Zimmerman reached on an infield single. The 2-0 loss left the Nationals 84-74.
