Tanner Roark and the Washington Nationals both won their sixth straight games as the Nats beat the New York Mets 7-2 this afternoon to sweep the four-game set in Flushing, Queens, New York's Citi Field. Roark improved to (6-0) with the win today.

Dan Haren allowed just one hit in six scoreless and left the game after Ryan Zimmerman hit a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to make it 1-0 Nationals. Anthony Rendon doubled in two runs in the eighth. Final Score: 3-0 Nats over NY Mets.

The Washington Nationals scored early and got a clutch (if it existed) RBI hit from Wilson Ramos in the sixth that ended up being the winning run in the fourth straight win overall and second in-a-row over the New York Mets. 6-3 final in Citi Field.

Gio Takes No-Hit Bid Into 7th: Nats 9-0 Over Mets

Gio Gonzalez had a no-hit bid going through six innings tonight in Flushing, Queens, NY's Citi Field, but the Washington Nationals' lefty gave up a single by Zach Lutz that ended the tension. This one was never in doubt, however. 9-0 Nationals.

Nationals 6-4 Over Marlins To Take 2 Of 3 In Miami

Stephen Strasburg wasn't exactly sharp, but he was sharp enough and the Washington Nationals scored six runs in support of their 25-year-old right-hander as the Nats took the series finale from the Marlins in Miami and 2 of 3 in Marlins Park.

Tanner Roark threw six scoreless in Marlins Park and Ryan Zimmerman hit two home runs off Miami starter Nathan Eovaldi for an early lead in what ended up a 9-2 win over the Washington Nationals' NL East rivals. Roark improved to (5-0) with the win.
