Compensate THIS!

Good news: The owners and players have reached a tenative agreement on a new CBA.

More good news: It looks like the Nationals will be compensated for Alfonso Soriano, should he sign elsewhere:

The new agreement will not have any major changes. Draft-choice compensation for lost free agents will be reduced, but not completely eliminated. Teams losing the top tier of free agents will continue to receive compensation.

I'll post more once the parties sign a memorandum of agreement, but this looks like a good day to be a fan of baseball (with an added touch of reassurance to fans of the Nats).
