Open Thread... ... Nationals vs Marlins Game 2 of 3

Game two of three in Dolphin Stadium, Miami, FL features:

Mike Bacsik (5-8, 4.65) vs Chris Seddon (0-0, 0.00)

Washington's Most Famous Pitcher, "Hollywood" Mike Bacsik looks to continue the two-game win-streak in the second of three in Miami, Florida. The Marlins throw rookie left-hander Chris Sneddon in place of their other rookie Rick VandenHurk who's being saved for a future when the Marlins are able to compete.

Chris Sneddon is a twenty-three year old lefty who has actually faced the Nationals in one of his two Major League appearances since joining the Marlins. Sneddon gave up a hit and struck out two in his relief appearance in a 6-3 loss to Washington, and threw a hitless inning in Philadelphia, after having gone (3-6) with a 4.33 ERA in 68.2 IP in Double-AA Carolina.

Mike Bacsik has pitched against the Marlins five times as a starter in his career with a (3-1) record to show for his efforts, in spite of his 5.17 ERA which is the result of allowing 36 hits, 18 runs, and 8 HR's, while walking 9. Bacsik's managed to avoid the Marlins this season, and he's been in and out of the bullpen recently, thus he hasn't won a game since August 2nd in Cincinnati.

The Nationals have now opened up a 4.0 game lead over the Fifth Place Marlins. Florida has now dropped four straight to Washington with only two games remaining between the teams this season. After these two, the Nationals head home for a ten game homestand against the Braves, Mets, and Phillies in that order.

Since the Braves and Phils are losing the East...Do the Nationals get to decide the Wild Card ? They need to spoil something...

Will anyone watch if they do spoil something?...
