After eight episodes on Versus, federalbaseball.com's Review of the first month of Matt Iseman's Sports Soup...
Article now featured on Sports Soup's official site...
Four weeks in, Matt Iseman has settled into his role as host of Versus' Sports Soup. Any questions I had about where Mr. Iseman would find material for two half-hour shows a week have been answered over the first month, as one cringe-worthy clip after another is provided, and when there is someone out there in the world who films himself trying to hit 80 golf balls in one minute to set a record which I can't believe anyone before him established and nobody will ever try to beat again, well, I believe Mr. Iseman and crew will always have sufficient material... Sports Soup is also educational...Do you know filmmaker/boxer Sweet Boy Sweet? Google his name if you didn't watch Sports Soup. An Amish Hotpocket? Any guesses? Watch this week's Sports Soup? A gorilla chases a banana all over the Michigan campus on the Friday before and Saturday of Wolverines' home games? See, you learned something and your parents didn't have to pay tuition... Mr. Iseman is bound to make some enemies, hopefully everyone can take a ribbing and enjoy being featured on Sports Soup regardless of how badly they manage to embarrass themselves on film. Mr. Iseman promised he could take it too, let’s see... One question, Mr. Iseman, from the Thursday (11/6/08) episode...How do you pronounce boxer Joe Calzaghe's last name? Calazahay? or Calzoggy? C’mon, Iseman...the man is a Welsh boxing champion...at least for the next 24 hours...Good day, sir.
