• The Curse Of The Last Game...

2005, October 2nd, RFK Stadium, the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals 9-3 to leave Washington 81-81 at the end of their Inaugural campaign back in DC. In '06 the Mets come to RFK and take three-straight, leaving the Nationals 71-91. 2007 saw Washington finish the season on the road, against the Phillies, who hand the Nationals a 6-1 loss leaving them 73-89 overall and 0-3 on the last day of the season. 2008 too ended on the road, with Washington dropping three-straight to Philly in Citizens Bank as the Nationals continued the losing tradition, dropping games 100, 101 and 102 of 161...Today it's Atlanta, "Humble Ted" Turner Field, with a Washington Nationals' team that's won six straight...After this Dukes and Desmond go to the DWL, Strasburg and Storen start pitching for real, there's the permanent Manager position to fill and we'll see about what's going to happen at shortstop...For Now, The Nationals need to win one more, and spares us loss 104...
