Jesus = teh clutch (Eckstein = teh jeeenyus!)
Chico (the reporter) takes a moment away from dreams of demi-glace to examine the clutch-hitting ability of Jesus Flores. "Clutchness" is one of those things that serious (and casual) fans tend to argue strongly: either it's a genuine phenomenon (and A-Rod is awful), or it's a random statistical fluke (and you people should grow up). Personally, I'm agnostic on this issue, but Chico quotes Nats' hitting coach (and resident genius) Rick Eckstein as well as some eye-opening stats comparing Jesus' performance with and without baserunners. From Nationals Journal, and well worth the quick read. Follow Jesus [Flores], and he will teach you to be a fisher of men [in scoring position]?
