Clayton Kershaw vs The Washington Nationals...

The Washington Nationals saw the best and the worst of the Los Angeles Dodgers' '06 1st Round pick Clayton Kershaw last season. The 6'3'', 21-year-old left-hander shut DC down over 6.0 shutout innings on the hill in Dodger Stadium in which he allowed just 4 hits and 1 walk with 6 K's in a 2-0 LA win on July 27th, and then a month later, on August 28th in Nationals Park, Kershaw gave up 5 hits and 5 ER on 2 HR's and 3 walks in just 2.1 IP, in a game the Nationals went on to win big by a score of 11-2...

The Nationals dropped all three games of their late-July series in Dodger Stadium last season, before exacting revenge with a Nationals Park-sweep a month later. In 2007, Mike Bacsik, Chris Schroder and Saul Rivera took three straight losses in LA. '06? Late July? Really want to know? 0-3...The Nationals dropped all three games to the Dodgers in '06...Please, 2005? Please?...Yes, Washington took 2 of 3 from the Dodgers in 2005...Haven't won a game in Dodger Stadium since...May 4, 2005. Washington 2-10 in LA since the move from Montreal...

Nationals vs Kershaw...

Ronnie Belliard - 1 for 3, 1 2B.

Cristian Guzman - 2 for 2, 1 HR, 1 RBI.

Elijah Dukes - 1 for 1, 1 HR, 3 RBI's.

Adam Dunn - 2 for 2, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI.

Ryan Zimmerman - 2 for 5, 1 2B.

Daniel Cabrera vs LA...

Cabrera played with the Orioles before coming to DC, so he's only started once against LA so far in this, his sixth MLB season. He did, however spend a long time in the AL East...against Manny Ramirez...

DC's Own DC vs Manny...

Manny Ramirez vs Cabrera - 7 for 21, .333 AVG, 1 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI's, 4 BB, .440 OBP, .524 SLG.

The Kids Call It The Streak...

23 games and counting? Ryan Zimmerman hasn't gone hitless in a game since April 7th in Florida...Yes, the second game of the season...The Nationals' Face of the Franchise© enters play today in LA with a .333 AVG, 11 doubles, 5 HR's, 19 RBI's, a .390 OBP, 574 SLG and a .964 OPS, a 148 OPS+...

And A Streak...
