This Day In Washington Baseball History - (The Continuing Attempt To Educate A Montreal Fan About DC Baseball History...)

July 19, 1915: The Washington Senators broke a three game losing streak with an 11-4 win over the Cleveland Indians. In the game, the Senators set a record that stands to this day when they managed to steal 8 bases in one inning (the 1st) off Indians' catcher Steve O'Neil. According to the Baseball Almanac, the record stands to this day, though it was tied four years later by the Philadelphia Philliles, who stole 8 in the 9th against the NY Giants.
