The Nationals counter with former starter, reliever, closer-for-a-minute and now starter again, Garrett Mock, who returns to DC after an 8-game stint with the Syracuse Chiefs over which he allowed 25 H, 2 HR and 8 ER in 47.1 IP. Kevin Hart was called up in late June to work out of the pen, and then sent down to Triple-A Iowa after his first start of the season against Atlanta on July 8th...

July 19, 1915: The Washington Senators broke a three game losing streak with an 11-4 win over the Cleveland Indians. In the game, the Senators set a record that stands to this day when they managed to steal 8 bases in one inning (the 1st) off Indians' catcher Steve O'Neil. According to the Baseball Almanac, the record stands to this day, though it was tied four years later by the Philadelphia Philliles, who stole 8 in the 9th against the NY Giants.
