Setting The Scene...
(4-2) in his last 8 starts, Lannan faces the same Mets' team he pitched a complete game against back on June 6th. In that start Lannan allowed just 4 hits and 1 unearned run in a 7-1 DC victory, and he went (3-0) in his next five starts before dropping his last two outings against the Astros and Cubs. At home in '09, Lannan's (3-1) in 10 starts with a 2.25 ERA in 68.0 IP, which is a little less than half his 5.51 ERA on the road, where he's (3-6) in 9 trips to the mound...The Mets are (1-4) in Oliver Perez's last five starts going all the way back to April, and he's (1-0) in two starts since returning to the rotation on July 8th, in spite of having walked 11, allowed 2 HR's, 5 ER and 9 hits in his last 11.0 IP. On the road this season, Perez is (0-1) in 4 starts with a 9.87 ERA in 17.1 IP.
