Washington Nationals: Wednesday Night Links...

• FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi quoted free agent second baseman Adam Kennedy's agent, Paul Cohen, in the first update of FOXSports.com's "Buzz: Latest from the MLB offseason" this afternoon entitled, "Kennedy down to three teams", stating that his client, "...remains in talks with three teams," one of which is reportedly the Nationals, two of which want Kennedy to play second while the other team's looking for what Mr. Morosi calls a "super-utility player". Later in the afternoon, Mr. Morosi was back with another post, this one entitled, "Source: Sheets still has long list", which includes the Nationals amongst close to a dozen teams that liked what they saw out of free agent right-hander Ben Sheets during his throwing session on Tuesday....

• Free agent left-hander Doug Davis, who expressed interest in pitching for Washington a few weeks back in an article by MLB.com's Bill Ladson entitled, "Davis has interest in Nationals", signed with the Milwaukee Brewers for 1-year/$4.25 million with an option for 2011 that would pay the 34-year-old lefty $6.5 million or a $1M dollar buyout. Jon Garland? Ben Sheets? Livan Hernandez? John Smoltz? Vicente Padilla? Jarrod Washburn? Or maybe...Chien-Ming Wang? Who will the Washington Nationals pursue now? Joel Pinier...oh, he just signed with the Angels.
