Washington Nationals: Friday Pregame Notes/Tweets - Ryan Zimmerman, Drew Storen, Bryce Harper.

• In case you somehow missed the news, Ryan Zimmerman returns to the lineup tonight against the Marlins. All of the Nats beat writers made the announcement as soon as they heard from the team about an hour or so back.'s Bill Ladson (@washingnats) tweeted that, "Being in warm Miami has helped #Nats 3B Ryan Zimmerman." It'll be Zimmerman's first start since April 21st against Colorado, when the Nats' third baseman and FOF© pulled up at second with the second injured hamstring of the season. (One to each leg.) .286/.362/.456 against Florida in 71 games and 283 AB's in his career, Zimmerman's just 5 for 22 against Marlins' right-hander Ricky Nolasco, with 10 doubles and 3 HR's out of (whatever they're calling this place this season)...

• Will Drew Storen (@DrewStoren) get to close out his first Triple-A game tonight?

• Will Drew Storen (@DrewStoren) get to close out his first Triple-A game tonight?Last his followers on Twitter were informed, the Nationals' second '09 1st Round pick was on some sort of propellered vehicle making his way from Detroit to Toledo where he'll join the Nats' Triple-A affiliate, the Syracuse Chiefs, for the finale of the four-game series with the Tigers' Triple-A team, the Toledo Mud Hens. No word on whether or not Storen will be available to pitch tonight that I've seen anywhere, but from what I've read even if he arrived in the seventh he'd say he's ready for the eighth...

Bryce Harper Watch: According to a "high-ranking club official" who spoke to Nats's Mark Zuckerman, the Nationals have, "No worries about Harper's attitude", which has received a lot of bad press recentlty, (his attitude that is), and over at, Byron Kerr talked to both Harper's CSN Coyotes' coach Tim Chambers, and the seventeen-year-old YouTube and SI phenom himself, who seems to have gotten the message about comparing himself to Hall of Fame players since he spends most of the interview with Mr. Kerr talking about his teammates instead of himself. Harper's coach, Mr. Chambers, tells MASN's Mr. Kerr that not everything you've read about Harper (more specifically what was written about him in an article by Baseball Prospectus article by Kevin Goldstein) is necessarily true:

"...He has confidence in his game, but he does not brag. He cheers on his teammates. I wish that writer could see him play ten games in a row before he talks about his makeup."

Harper and the (4th Ranked according to the NJCAA site) CSN Coyotes play 4 games this weekend with the College of Eastern Utah, after which they play four with Salt Lake Community College in West Jordan, Utah to end the regular season, which is followed by the SWAC Championships (5/12-15), Region 9 Western District Championships (May 20-22) and the NJCAA Junior College World Series (if they make it that far) in Grand Junction, Colorado (May 29-June 5), which leaves two days before the MLB First-Year Player Draft when Nats fans find out if the 17-year-old catcher/OF will become their second-straight no. 1 overall pick...
