ESPN's Keith Law says that there is no argument for taking anyone other than Bryce Harper first in the 2010 draft.

Players drafted by the Nationals/Expos franchise have won 17 awards over the last 30 years, tied for most in the majors. The Yankees have earned zero.

Stephen Strasburg went five innings in his fourth AAA start, giving up two runs (one earned) and striking out five while walking zero. He was surprised that he was pulled in the fifth inning, but said he has to go along with the Nats' plan for him.

Mark Zuckerman says the Nats will face a big test on this road trip, starting without Pudge Rodriguez. The Nationals have called up Carlos Maldonado from AAA Syracuse to replace Pudge, who is currently on the 15-day DL.

Former Mets GM Steve Phillips says he would trade Stephen Strasburg for Roy Oswalt.

Although no contracts have been discussed, Josh Willingham would like to finish his career in Washington.

FJB is excited about the Nationals' great start, but is pessimistic about the long-term success of the team.

Now that we know Pudge Rodriguez won't be around for Strasburg's (assumed) June 4 start, should the Nats hold Strasburg back to allow him to throw to a future Hall-of-Famer?

The Nats' playoff chances have dropped .4% to 18.4%, according to Accuscore's prediction.

Around the league...

The new Rawlings S100 helmet is designed to withstand pitches up to 100 mph, and while they are required in the minors, they are not catching on in the majors yet because they are pretty ugly.

Yankee Stadium has banned laptops for security and safety, and iPads are included in that ban.
