Over at the SB Nation blog Front Office Fans, one of the biggest Ken Griffey, Jr. fans around has a plan for a unique way to honor the recently-retired Future Hall of Fame slugger. Set a Guinness World Record.

"One of our writers happens to be New Jersey's greatest Ken Griffey Jr fan, and, after a night of hysterical sobbing, he has decided today that the best way to honor the player that everyone is a fan of is to celebrate his career (and fashion sense) by way of a backwards-hat-wearing-record.

We've reached out to the Guinness folks and are hoping to attempt to set the World Record for "Most backwards hats worn on the same day" by getting thousands of fans to submit photos of themselves with a backwards hat on (ala Junior)."

You can read the original post HERE and there's a poll there to judge interest in participating. Do you want to help honor of the players who did it the right way?
