Wire Taps: What We Learned About The Washington Nationals Yesterday...

• LINKS AND LINKS AND...

• Today's Starting Lineup via MLB.com's Bill Ladson: "#Nats lineup vs. #Mets: Morgan-8, Desmond-6, Werth-9, Zim-5, Morse-7, LaRoche-DH, Pudge-2, Espinosa-4, Marrero-3 Hernandez is the pitcher." - MLB.com's Bill Ladson on Twitter (@Washingnats)

• D.C. GM Mike Rizzo denied saying some of the things Washington Post writer Thomas Boswell attributed to the general manager in an article this weekend. But Mr. Boswell obviously has some access to the Nats' front office's thinking. So, what to make of the WaPost writer's assertion in a chat yesterday that Rizzo, "...leans toward keeping Pudge until he gets his 3,000th hit," which would likely mean keeping the future-Hall-of-Famer beyond the 2011 season? - Washington Post - Chat - Thomas Boswell: "Ask Boswell"

• The results from the second "enhanced" MRI on Cla Meredith's elbow were inconclusive and he's headed back to the nation's capital for yet another exam. - NatsInsider.com - Mark Zuckerman, "The rest of the day."

• A photojournalistic look at the Nats' first Spring Training game reveals Michael Morse is ready to fight for his job. - Jenn at NatsFanGirls.com - "Nats at Mets: 4 stories in 11 pictures."

• Shark Fans were pleased with what they saw from Roger Bernadina in his Spring debut. But there's another "shark-like" presence in the Nats' lineup. - Street Shark's Sharkadina - "Roger Bernadina's Unofficial Blog: A Very Sharkadelic Debut."

Bryce Harper might not have been happy with his Spring debut, but Ron Harper, Bryce's dad was happy to see his son doing what he loves. - Washington Times' Dan Daly - "The Maker of a Champion."

• Nats' reliever Tyler Clippard is considering a change from his "Peaches" entrance music, you have a chance to stop him. - Twitter Poll: Choose Tyler Clippard's warm-up music.

• Are the Nats quietly happier about their starters than they're letting on? The WaPost's Thomas Boswell thinks so. - Washinton Post - Thomas Boswell, "Nationals are cautiously optimistic about pitching"

• What will Bryce Harper remember about his Spring debut? "Two K's. I had two K's. That's going to stick with me until prob tom. morning when I take my first hacks.'" - CSN Washington/NatsInsider.com's Mark Zuckerman on Twitter (@MarkZuckerman)

Willie Harris has moved on, and he'll play against the Nats this afternoon, but he hasn't forgotten his time in D.C., saying, "'I love those guys. I love the organization. But now I'm trying to beat them.'" - MASNSports.com's Ben Goessling - The Goessling Game: "Ex-National Willie Harris adjusting to life with Mets."

• This Spring might be your last chance to see the Washington Nationals in Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida. - MLB.com's Bill Ladson - "Nationals entertaining possible move of Spring Training home."

• Today's game is at 1:05 pm EST against the Mets, but the only coverage you're going to get outside of Twitter is on the MLB.com Gameday boxscore. No radio/tv/MLB.tv as far as I can tell. We'll set up a thread to follw as closely as possible. But if you're not already following the Nats beat writers on Twitter, now might be a good time to start:
