Washington Nationals: Bryce Harper Day-To-Day After Suffering Ankle Sprain.

The initial reports of Bryce Harper being carted off the field after suffering an ankle injury didn't sound good, but the Washington Nationals have since announced that the no.1 overall pick in the 2010 Draft suffered a left ankle sprain. Harper is day-to-day according to reports which came out in the last half an hour or so. The 18-year-old future Nats' right fielder was playing and running to first in a intra-squad minor league game at the time of the injury.

After spending time with the Major League squad early this Spring, Harper was optioned to Class-A Hagerstown last week. Reports this weekend from several sources had Harper hitting three HR's in one game against the Tigers' minor league squad as the Nats and Tigers faced off in a Spring Training game. In nine games with the Nats this Spring, Harper posted a .389/.450/.556 slash line, three doubles and five RBI's.
