• Programming Note: Washington's Opening Day starter Livan Hernandez and Marlins' right-hander Chris Volstad take the hill tonight in the second of three for D.C. in Florida. What To Look For: Danny Espinosa's going to get a shot in the leadoff spot now. The Nationals made the decision yesterday to use Espi and Ian Desmond (0 for 13 thus far) interchangeably at the top of the order til someone claims the leadoff spot as their own. Tonight's 7:10 pm EDT game is available on MASN HD, it's listed on MLB.com's site as being broadcast on 106.7 the FAN in DC aka WJFK but I understand there was some confusion with other local broadcasts pushing it to 1580 AM last night, be prepared to turn the dial around at 7:00...Sirius/XM subscribers can find the game on Ch. 187...

• Mike Rizzo: "First of all, the criticism of Jayson Werth hitting second has no bearing on my life whatsoever. This is a decision that we made. It was a conscious decision. Jim Riggleman and I sat down and we thought what's best for the ballclub, specifically out of the chute early on in the season, and I like the fact that Jayson Werth gets to bat a lot of times during the game, the second-most of anybody in the lineup. He's a run-producer and a run scorer. This guy's going to drive in runs, he's going to score runs. He's a guy who's going to grind out pitchers, see a lot of pitches per at bat and set the stage not only for the middle of the lineup but for himself as the lineup flips over..." - AUDIO: 106.7 the FAN in DC's Mike Rizzo Show.
