21-year-old Atlanta Braves' right-hander Julio Teheran was the no.1 prospect in the organization when Baseball America released their list after a 2011 season in which the Colombian-born starter, signed as an amateur free agent in 2007, made his MLB debut and posted a (15-3) record with a 2.55 ERA, 3.06 FIP, 48 walks (2.99 BB/9) and 122 K's (7.59 K/9) in 25 games, 24 starts and 144.2 IP with the Braves' Triple-A affiliate. Teheran will take the hill tonight for Atlanta against the Washington Nationals' 23-year-old right-hander Stephen Strasburg (at least for the first few innings) and the Braves' right-hander will also face the Nats' top prospect, Bryce Harper, who returns from a calf strain that kept him out of the last six Nats' Grapefruit League games. Strasburg makes his third start of the Spring. The right-hander's given up six hits and four runs, all earned with one walk and 5 K's in 5.2 IP thus far. Teheran's allowed nine hits and eight earned runs, six of them on the six HR's he gave up in his last Spring Training start against the Detroit Tigers. Bryce Harper was 5 for 11 with a walk and two K's in five games before he woke up with the calf strain that has kept him on the sidelines for the last week. Harper will be batting sixth tonight and playing right field for the Nationals. Here's the Nats' lineup that will take the field at Disney's Wide World of Sports in tonight's game:
- Ian Desmond - SS
- Steve Lombardozzi - 2B
- Mark DeRosa - 3B
- Adam LaRoche - 1B
- Chad Tracy - DH
- Bryce Harper - CF
- Jesus Flores - C
- Mark Teahen- LF
- Eury Perez - RF
- Stephen Strasburg - SP
