For the second time in two days (and just the second time this year) Danny Espinosa is penciled in at short in Davey Johnson's lineup for the series finale with the Fish. Steve Lombardozzi's at second and leading off. Ian Desmond's on the bench. The Nats' 26-year-old shortstop was held out of Sunday afternoon's game with a flare-up of the oblique issue that's been bothering him for over a month now. Still no word on whether or not the issue is going to lead to a DL stint for Desmond, but the Nats beat reporters haven't spoken to Davey Johnson yet today, and it was all about Stephen Strasburg, Bryce Harper, Ozzie Guillen and pine tar last night after the Nats win in game three, so there will likely be some sort of update on the state of the shortstop's oblique coming in the next couple of hours.

Edwin Jackson makes his seventeenth start of 2012 tonight in Marlins Park. In 16 starts and 101.1 IP so far this season the 28-year-old right-hander has a (5-4) record with a 3.73 ERA, 3.89 FIP, 30 walks (2.66 BB/9) and 76 K's (6.75 K/9). E-Jax allowed two runs, one earned on five hits in 6.2 IP against the Fish earlier this season in Miami in a 3-1 loss to the Marlins, but he's won four or six starts since that outing including his last start against the Giants all the way back on the Fourth of July 4 in D.C. Coming off a 12-day break, Jackson returns to mound inside the lime green walls of Marlins Park and hopes there are no home run celebrations set off as he looks for his sixth win of the season.
