Washington Nationals Announce 2013 Schedule.

Some highlights from the Washington Nationals 2013 schedule which was released this afternoon include the continuation of the Battle of the Beltways series with Baltimore, "... with each club hosting a pair of contests over a four-game span, May 27-30," according the press release that accompanied today's announcement. The Nationals will play the White Sox, Tigers and Twins in Interleague play with Minnesota returning to the nation's capital for the first time since 1971. The Nationals will travel to Cleveland, Detroit and Kansas City. Mother's Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day games will all be played in Nationals Park. Two homestands in 2013 will feature 10 games in 10 days with the Nats taking on the Dodgers Mets and Pirates from July 19-28 and the Phillies, Braves and Marlins from September 13-22nd. The Nats will also play 24 of 34 games at home in June and July. The 2012 season isn't over and the Nationals are threatening to go further into the fall than any team from the nation's capital has since 1933 but they released the 2013 schedule today. The 2012 season ends on October 3rd in Nationals Park with a game against the Phillies. The 2013 campaign will wrap up on September 29th in Arizona.
