World Series Game 6 - A seventh inning RBI ground-rule double by Boston's backup catcher David Ross broke up a 1-1 tie in Game 5 and lifted the Red Sox to victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Tonight in Fenway Park, the Red Sox have a chance to wrap up the 2013 World Series with one more win while the Cards fight to play another day. On the mound tonight for the visiting Cardinals is rookie sensation Michael Wacha. Veteran right-hander John Lackey takes the hill for the Sox.

Wacha, 22, gave up three hits, four walks and two earned runs in six innings of work in Game 2 of the World Series, in what was the fourth postseason start for the 2012 1st Round pick. Wacha's (4-0) so far in the postseason, with a 1.00 ERA in 27 IP over which he's walked eight (2.67 BB/9), K'd 28 (9.33 K/9) and held opposing hitters to a .122/.194/.222 line. The rookie right-hander told reporters on Tuesday that he wasn't too concerned about nerves being an issue in a must-win Game 6. "I just try to approach every game the same," Wacha said. "I don't think it's going to be too much different. We know the next two games are must wins. It all starts with me Wednesday night."

John Lackey was asked about the importance of potentially clinching the World Series in the Red Sox' home for the first time since 1918. "It would be awesome," Lackey told reporters. "As far as personally, I'm just thinking about executing pitches and trying to win a game. And hopefully we get to that point." In four postseason starts this fall, the 35-year-old right-hander is (2-1) with a 3.26 ERA, five walks (2.33 BB/9) and 20 Ks (9.31 K/9) in 19 1/3 IP, holding opposing hitters to a .219/.275/.288 lone so far. Lackey makes the 16th postseason start of his career tonight in Boston.

The coverage starts at 7:30 pm EDT. First pitch some time after 8:00...
