Washington Nationals 2014 Spring Training Schedule

The Washington Nationals released their 2014 Spring Training schedule tonight. The first Grapefruit League game takes place on February 28th. The final game before the 2014 campaign begins is an exhibition game against the Detroit Tigers on March 28th in D.C.

The Washington Nationals released their 2014 Spring Training schedule this afternoon. The Nats kick off Grapefruit League action on the road in Port St. Lucie, FL on February 28th against the same New York Mets they will face in Game 1 of 162 in the regular season. The Nationals' final exhibition game of 2014 this spring takes place a month later when the Nats and Detroit Tigers face off in Washington, D.C.'s Nationals Park on Saturday, March 29th. March 31st is the Nationals' season opener in Flushing, Queens, NY's Citi Field.

The Nationals' press release on the Spring Training schedule this afternoon highlights the, "... home dates against the New York Yankees (Tuesday, March 11), NL Champion St. Louis Cardinals (Sunday, March 9) and a pair of visits from the AL Central Champion Detroit Tigers (Sunday, March 16 and Thursday, March 20)," and points to a stretch of five-straight home games from Friday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 11th against the Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Cardinals and Houston Astros (twice) for any fans looking to get the most out of a trip to the Nats' Spring home.

Spring Training ticket packages are available online on November 15th at 10:00 AM. Individual game tickets are available on February 1st at 10:00 AM.

The Nationals were 14-18 in Grapefruit League action last Spring before they went on to a second place finish in the NL East and an 86-76 season record overall in 2013.
