Game 24 WPA: This is DSPAN. Nats 6, Red 3

Haren actually manages a quality start, plus comes through with some DIY offense. Harper continues to be an unstoppable baseball cyborg of DOOM, but the real hero of the day is DSpan, who was a bottomless wellspring of effortless, run-saving range out in center.

  • H8RZ repent: Dan Haren (+14.4% pitching, +10.1% hitting) gives up 2 ER in 6 IP, walking none and striking out 5. He also bloops an RBI single for the lead in the first (+12.0%).

  • True H3r0: Denard Span (+7.6%) is 2-5 with a RBI single for the Nats' second run (+9.2%) and a pair of catches that saved somewhere from 2 to 5 runs, depending on whether you think he hauled his first one back over the wall or not.
