Game 29 WPA: Haren to H8RZ, "Shut up." Nats 3, ATL 1

Danny Aitch goes game-for-game with J-Z on 10 fewer pitches (although one more ER). The Nats keep hitting doubles, and overall it's a nice end to a tough series.

  • More like this, please: Dan Haren (+35.7%) allows one run in 8IP, striking out 4 and walking 1.
  • Good in the leadoff spot: Denard Span (+27.4%) continues to make a play to be my favorite Nat, going 3-4 with a walk and two doubles, including a two-out, two-run two-bagger in the second for the winning margin.
  • Getting going: Adam LaRoche (+4.7%) is 1-3 with a double and a walk. Anthony Rendon (+4.9%) is 2-3 with a double and a walk.
  • Everybody untuck: Rafael Soriano (+8.3%) only makes it a little interesting with a hit and some 3-ball counts in a shutdown 9th for the save.
