Game 162 WPA: Well, phooey. Nats 2, AZ 3

Seriously, Nats, it was too much to get Roark another win? You B-teamers ought to be ashamed.

We didn't get to play, either.

  • Robbed: Tanner Roark (+34.2%) goes 7 IP with 1 R (0 ER) on 3 Ks and a walk.  He didn't help himself with an error and a TOOTBLAN.
  • The 'Z's have it: Zach Walters (+10.8%) ties it in the 6th with an RBI triple (+19.8%), his first in the majors. Steve Lombardozzi (+11.7%) singles him in to put the Nats ahead 1 AB later (+5.5%).
  • Not making a case: Ryan Mattheus (-54.0%) continues his season-long fizzle, getting only two outs into the aeyth before giving up the tying and go-behind runs.
  • Also unhelpful: Scott Hairston (-20.1%) is 0-4 with 4 LOB, while Jhonaton Solano (-21.9%) is 0-4 with 3 LOB.
