Game 138 WPA: Like baseball, only sloppier. Nats 9, FF 6

This was sloppy-[donkey] baseball tonight, with walks and errors and all kinds of foolishness. But the Nats won, so I won't complain too much.

  • Messy: Gio Gonzalez (+1.0%) walks 3 and fans 6 over 5.2 IP, giving up 4 R (1 ER) thanks to three errors behind him.
  • Boom: Wilson Ramos (+32.2%) belts a 3-run bomb in the 2nd for the early lead (+23.9%), as well as walking in a two-out run in the 5th (+8.0%).
  • These bats are made for walking: Adam LaRoche (+17.1%) is 1-2 with 3 walks, including a bases-loaded walk in the 5th (+11.0%)
