Matt Williams is staying in Viera, Florida today to watch the Nationals and Braves and he told reporters yesterday that he made one change to the traveling roster, taking 24-year-old right-hander Taylor Jordan off the road so that he could get a better look at the pitcher competing for the fifth spot in the rotation.
"I'm going to be here and I wanted to get a chance to see [Jordan]," Williams explained. "I've certainly seen [Chris Young] more than Taylor. So I wanted to see him pitch here tomorrow. So he's going to stick around here because I'm going to be at this game."
Jordan will follow Ross Detwiler on the mound in each of the pitcher's second starts of the spring.
Game time - 1:05 pm EST from Viera, FL. Nationals vs the Braves at home and the Nats vs the Cards on the road. Again, the home game is available on the radio on 1500 and 1580 AM and it's available via MLB.com's Gameday audio. The Cards' broadcast team has the road game covered on MLB.com's Gameday audio as well just in case you wanted to listen to that...
