Game 46 WPA: Another big pile of FAIL. Nats 1, Reds 2

New, comments

Roark had a good outing and the bullpen was tight, but Span was the only one who got it done at the plate.

Doesn't taste any better for us, Jayson.

  • You let him down, Nats. YOU LET HIM DOWN! Tanner Roark (+2.9%) gives up 1 ER (2 R)  in 6 IP, working around 3 BBs with only 2 Ks. He doesn't help himself with a bases-loaded GDP to end the 2nd (-12.6%).
  • SOMEONE is trying: Denard Span (+15.9%) is 2-4 with a leadoff solo shot in the first to put the Nats ahead (+10.6%).
  • Weak in the middle: Jayson Werth (-14.5%) and Wilson Ramos (-17.5%) combine to go 0-8 with 4 Ks and 2 LOB (both RISP).
  • Also unhelpful: Kevin Frandsen (-12.1%) and Danny Espinosa (-15.1%) go 0-7 with a sac bunt and 4 LOB.

You need to get your mind off of it

So, this is basically the Dogma 2014 of indie-pop internet videos.
