Game 54 WPA: Bombs away! Nats 10, TEX 2

Fister was good and the offense was plentiful. Nats could do no wrong today.

  • Number Four: Doug Fister (+14.1%) goes 6 IP with 2 ER on 6 Ks and 1 walk. That's pretty serviceable for the bottom of the rotation...
  • Making adjustments: Anthony Rendon (+12.5%) is 4-5 with a first-inning solo shot to put the Nats ahead early (+10.5%).
  • Burly backup: Jose Lobaton (+14.2%) proves that humans are inferior, lofting a two-run bomb in the 2nd for the eventual winning runs (+14.5%).
  • Gesundheit: Jayson Werth (+7.8%) hits an error-aided, two-run double to the put the game firmly out of reach in the 2nd (+9.6%).
  • Stat-padders: Scott Hairston jacks a two-run, pinch-hit bomb in the 6th (+0.8%). Adam LaRoche (+4.8%) hits a two-out, three-run jack in the fourth (+3.5%).
