Double-N throws a two-hit shutout, and the bats are plenty loud. Good baseball.

  • No no-no: Jordan Zimmermann (+15.0%) throws a two-hitter, going the distance with 12 Ks and no walks (that's zero, none) for the shutout.
  • Building a run: Denard Span (+8.5%) hits a double to lead off the game (+6.5%), steals third (+3.5%), and scores on a groundout to give the Nats the only run they'd need.
  • Assembly-line scoring: Ian Desmond (+17.3%) cranks out a two-run homer in the 2nd to put the Nats up by three (+15.7%)--what a stat-padder!
  • For real? Danny Espinosa (+6.4%) is 3-4 with a bases-loaded, two-run single in the 3rd (+4.6%).
