  • First rule of holes: Gio Gonzalez (-28.7%) gets the Nats buried just far enough, giving up 5 runs in 3.2 IP with 2 Ks and  a walk.
  • Fine, I'll stop lobbying for the 8-spot: Denard Span (+13.8%) is team WPA leader tonight, going 2-4 with a two-RBI single to get the Nats within 2 in the 5th (+12.4%).
  • Misused or terrible? Jerry Blevins (-12.1%) melts down in the 6th, ignoring baserunners and giving up 2 runs.
  • New moon: Jayson Werth (-14.4%) is particularly ineffective against his old team, going 0-4 with 5 LOB.
